Title: Exhibitor Spotlight - Silver Studio
2008/07/09

Silver Studio

At the beginning of 2008, the art worker that has studied abroad in the USA founded Silver Studio. With insistence and deep love for artistic creation, the designer takes oil color ceramics, pure silverwork and jewelry design, and American Indian black fire ceramics that is rare in Taiwan to be major targets of development.  The works of Silver Studio combine the thought of Oriental aesthetics and the skills of Western art; via the designer’s unique personal style of artistic creation, the works present a steady and warm feeling of art.  Silver Studio expects to blend culture and art into modern life to promote individual taste of artistic appreciation, and let our life and culture be more innovative.

From design to manufacture, the works of Silver Studio are one hundred percent purely handmade.  The ceramic works stress the three-dimensional feeling of sculpture, and the silverwork takes the nature as its teacher to pursue a kind of liberation spiritually and freedom as the theme.  In the process of manufacture, besides demanding excellent workmanship, the designer’s enthusiasm for life and persistence aesthetically are mixed into the works.  Each piece of works has profound artistic features and cultural connotation, and reveals amusement within rigorousness.

Silver Studio designer was invited to have an exhibition on her American Indian black fire ceramic works at “Xen” Gallery in St. Lois, the USA during the period that she studied abroad in the USA; she held the MFA graduation exhibition at the Gallery of Fontbonne University, and the event was reported by St. Louis News and on the internet.  During the period studying in Taiwan, her works won the curator award of National Taiwan Arts Education Center, second place in the school’s science exhibition, and first place of the 43rd term anniversary celebration poster design contest of National Taiwan University of Arts.  Her jewelry design works are collected by Taiwan Provincial Handicraft Research Institute (the present National Taiwan Craft Research Institute).
