【Cultural and Creative Industry Products to Be Broadly Seen in Daily Lives】
Nowadays, ”Cultural and Creative Industry” has been a significant current in the context of world-wild metropolitan competition.
Among the 13 categories of Taiwanese Cultural and Creative Industry, “Cultural Facility for Exhibition and Performing” and “Crafts” are two major categories in Taipei County with great developing potential. They both have plenty of great achievements in aspects of their quantity, style, quality, and value.
Take “Cultural Facility for Exhibition and Performing” for instance; for the last 18 years, Taipei County has established Yingge Ceramics Museum, Shihsanhang Museum of Archaeology, Danshui Historic Sites, Gold Ecological Park, Wulai Atayal Museum, The Lin Family Mansion and Garden, and County Hakka Museum. Therefore, Taipei County has more Museums found by the local government than any other counties in Taiwan. Moreover, those museums mentioned above are also among the best in Taiwan.
As to ”Crafts,” Taipei County has some characteristic crafts like Metal Crafts of Jinguashi, Ceramics of Yingge, Indigo Dyeing of Sansia, Atayal Handwoven works of Wulai, and Liuli of Danshui. Owing to many wonderful talents assembling in Taipei County, the craft works made by them are not only characteristic, but they also truly reflect local features as well.
In order to let the audiences have the chance to purchase the Cultural and Creative Industry products while they are spiritually fulfilled after visiting the museums, Taipei County Government charged Yingge Ceramics Museum to run a souvenir shop called ”What a Beautiful Life ” from October, 2007. Hopefully aesthetics of living could be practicable via these products which are not just merchandise goods but also media for people to approach aesthetic.
Besides, Taipei County Government are planning to integrate the existing Crafts and Arts resources, and develop new creative products that represent the Taipei County characters. By establishing a united brand image, it is expectable that cultural and creative products could be seen everywhere in people’s daily lives.
