Council for Cultural Affairs “Taiwan Performing Arts Area ”
Overview
In recent years, Taiwanese performing groups have continued to grow with increased number of creations and performances. Their works have been recommended and recognized by international critics. They are often invited to take part and perform in major international art festivals and annual extravaganzas. Their potentials in the international market are undeniable. It is therefore important to take the opportunity that western consumers have been showing increasing interest in eastern cultures and arts to increase the exposure of Taiwanese performing arts. The Council for Cultural Affairs (CCA) has created a special zone “Taiwanese Performing Arts Area” in 2008 Taiwan International Cultural and Creative Industries Exhibition. The purpose is to promote Taiwanese performing arts and increase the number of local performance goers through the live performances by participating groups and interactive activities. The exhibition also serves a channel for international publicity and an opportunity for the international community to get a glimpse of Taiwanese performing art shows.
Diversity, infusion and innovation are where the charm of the Taiwanese culture lies. You are invited to experience the Taiwanese culture and performing arts that infuse diversity and continuous innovation.
